Step by Step Guide to getting started with MuleSoft Automation

If you are brand new to MuleSoft Automation as a Salesforce Partner, follow the steps below to get started on your journey.

Step 1 - Join the Partner Community

The Partner Community provides you with access to other partners so you can share information, receive product updates, get notifications about upcoming releases and participate in events. It’s also your gateway to the Partner Learning Camp.

Contact your company’s Partner Community administrator and request access to the Partner Community
Complete the Salesforce Partner Community Trailhead module to learn about the Partner Community
Login to the Salesforce Partner Community
Join the Salesforce MuleSoft Chatter group

Step 2 - Access the Partner Learning Camp

The Partner Learning Camp self-paced courses help partners prepare for the Accredited Professional exams. To access the Partner Learning Camp:

Go to the Partner Community
Click the “Learn” tab
Click the “Start Learning” button on the Partner Learning Camp tile

Step 3 - Register for Office Hours

We host a monthly event - Mule This Month to share all product innovation and Roadmap. We welcome our partners to use this session to ask any on of the their queries.

Step 4 - Complete Trailheads and Partner Learning Camp Courses

Utilizing the Partner Learning Camp, partners can learn the basics of the core Salesforce platform as well as gain an understanding of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and its capabilities to help prepare for both exams.

The MuleSoft HyperAutomation courses provide an understanding of the MuleSoft Capabilities to set up the partner for success when learning about MuleSoft.

The other courses are a deep dive into the capabilities of MuleSoft and are a great way to learn the product from the ground up and prepare for the Accredited Professional exams.

Demo Org Access

Where do I get access to a MuleSoft Automation Demo / Developer org?

Automation Package (RPA, Composer & Anypoint Lite)

Every MuleSoft partner receives an Anypoint account and partners are encouraged to add the Automation package (RPA, Composer) to their existing Anypoint account entitlements. The process for partners to add this entitlement is as follows

Login to Salesforce Partner Community Portal (https://partners.salesforce.com/)

Navigate to the “?” icon in the top right corner of the page. Then select “Log a Case for Help” and follow the steps below:
Fill Out Subject and Description
Subject: Partner Programs & Benefits
Description: Request for MuleSoft Demo Org
(Please wait up to 30 seconds for Product & Topic pick list to populate) Select 'Partner Programs & Benefits - Demo & Partner Business Orgs' from pick list. If 'Partner Programs & Benefits - Demo & Partner Business Orgs' does not appear, select 'Pick a different product & topic'
Add the Org ID
Select instance type: Production
Select Severity (1-4 levels)
Collaborators: Include additional contacts (email) that should be notified of the specific request (internal and/or external)
Select ‘Create Case’

Partner Operations Support will review the case and determine eligibility. If the Partner is eligible and in good standing, a SmartSheet form will be shared to collect additional information from the Partner. Once provisioned, the partner will be able to administer their new environment including adding and managing new users. Partners should have completed the MuleSoft Automation onboarding series and be familiar with the necessary hardware requirements, installation prerequisites, and setup instructions provided in the documentation

Composer

Partners can initiate a request for MuleSoft Composer in their own Trial or Developer Salesforce org by following the steps in the following article: How to request trial license of MuleSoft Composer for Salesforce

Flow Orchestration

Partners can get access to Flow Orchestration through a Salesforce trial or developer org.

Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)

MuleSoft IDP is accessible from within Anypoint Platform and is available for partners automatically as part of their partner Automation Package.

If you have the Automation Package entitlement for your partner organization but your team are facing issues assessing IDP please check & review the Anypoint permissions for IDP in your partner Anypoint org: https://docs.mulesoft.com/idp/permissions

Einstein for IDP Access
To get access for Einstein for IDP you will need to complete the following steps:
Get MuleSoft IDP on the Anypoint Platform Org using Automation Bundle.
Spin up a Simple Demo Org (SDO) using PLC
Link your SDO with your partner Anypoint org (where MuleSoft IDP is enabled)
