What is Marketing Cloud Next?

At Connections 2025, Salesforce announced Marketing Cloud Next, a major evolution of its leading marketing solution — and the end of traditional ‘do-not-reply’ marketing. This isn’t just a product launch; it’s a strategic reframe of marketing itself, powered by autonomous AI agents that act as always-on collaborators.

Marketing Cloud Growth and Advanced are the first editions of Marketing Cloud Next on the Salesforce platform. Key value drivers include:

One Simplified UX
Instead of leveraging multiple marketing products and applications, Marketing Cloud on the Salesforce Platform is one cohesive product.

One Workflow
With Marketing Cloud natively on the Salesforce platform, Marketers can build connected journeys across departments using Salesforce Flow, with seamless handoff between marketing, sales, service, and commerce.

One Data Set
Marketers can action on their Salesforce and non-Salesforce Data across departments, and understand how marketing impacts revenue and customer lifetime value using cross-cloud reporting.

Built on Agentforce
Marketers can tap into Salesforce’s agentic layer to automate end-to-end campaign creation and optimize campaign delivery using ready-to-use skills and Agent Builder.

How are Marketing Cloud Growth Edition and Marketing Cloud Advanced Edition different?

Marketing Cloud Growth and Advanced Editions are the same product. Advanced Edition is just a higher tier of Growth Edition, with additional functionality and additional email credits, AI request credits, Data Cloud credits, and Flows. Customers on Growth Edition can seamlessly upgrade to Advanced Edition.

Advanced Edition contains all the same features as Growth Edition, and has additional features. As of the Spring ’25 release this includes:
Einstein Engagement Frequency
Einstein Engagement Scoring
Rule-Based Account Scoring
Path Experiment
Unified Conversations for SMS and WhatsApp
